I will
begin with one that CONTINUES to annoy me on the radio: It's an ad by a social worker named Janet Lehman which
begins with her stating in a monotone, motherly voice "I will never forget the day my son Jeremy told me he
hated me and slammed the door in my face....Hi, I'm behavorial therapist Janet
Lehman ..." .
There's SOMETHING about her tone of voice, the way she
speaks, and the repeated number of times I've heard this on the radio that it
makes me literally ILL and ANGRY when I hear it and I JUMP to switch the
station ! I've even noticed a few other blogs online
saying the same thing...it apparently annoys more than just me....maybe the ad
works or resonates with some mothers who have problems with their children, but
for me it is just simply annoying. Janet, if you read this, can you PLEASE
CHANGE YOUR AD ?! You may be causing more people
to feel the emotion "hate" every time they hear this ad. Please, do
us all a favor and think of a new strategy for getting customers and we will
all LOVE YOU and our MOMS FOR IT !
